Although research suggests that school intervention improves behavior and academics of students with disabilities such as ADHD, only 1 in 3 “with ADHD received no school-based interventions and 2 out of 3 received no classroom management (Lehigh University, March 5, 2019).” I have observed this almost daily during a career of evaluating and writing academic accommodations for students with ADHD and other academic impacting issues. For 25 years I have helped parents fight for their children’s academic rights. This is the reason I am co-founding a website to help parents understand their children’s academic needs and advocate for their education. I have helped one child at a time, but see the need to address the change in education that needs to occur. Please visit IEPAcademy.com!
